Our Merlot, grown on the fertile clay soils of the Grave del Friuli, is a tribute to winemaking tradition that highlights the purity of the varietal. The vines are trained using the Guyot system.
Visually, this Merlot presents an intense ruby red color—a prelude to the richness that unfolds both on the nose and the palate. The bouquet is intensely fruity, harmoniously weaving together notes of ripe red berries with elegant tertiary aromas from oak aging. This maturation in barriques enriches the wine with captivating complexity, making it a true pleasure for the senses.
On the palate, Orzaia’s Merlot is smooth and harmonious. A light, well-integrated tannin gives the wine structure, while its aromatic persistence invites another sip. Best served at the ideal temperature of 18°C.
